The exponential growth curve of the human population has mirrored that of a bacterial colony in a petri dish. The larger it grows, the higher generation of excessive material waste. Landfills, the primary disposal site for much of the world's disposals, stand as a stark representation.

Bio-recomposition is a speculative project that reimagines waste management.
At the intersection of biotechnology and design, this project proposes a future where natural decomposers, termites (Isoptera) among them, are genetically modified to consume synthetic waste, building ecosystems where humans and insects co-exist.
